To summarize 👎 AVOID this place if you prioritize to learn efficiently:They push hours on you in poor or strong wind, premium price vs some kiteschools in Salinas, very much theory and practice on land consumed most of the 12 hours and they did not even teach self rescue within this time, we had requested 1-2 hour lessons byt they pushed for 3 hour lessons. Kitespot Tubara is shoppy and not really great for beginners, especially when small kite size is used and wind drops or intcreases alot and instead of stopping lesson or changing to other kitesize carry on and even prolong the lessons.During hour 11 wind picked up alot and we decided against the instructor to stop the lesson to learn waterstart in very strong wind and choppy conditions. We then went to another kiteschool in Salinas where focus were on time on the water and practice in the water, in Salinas you reach the bottom and not loose much time in deep water recovering after not managing the waterstart - superefficient. Gigi is not allowed to teach in Salinas by the locals, probably the reason he talk bad about learning is Salinas. They kept us waiting outside their small storage room approx an hour prior each lesson since they called us there for a daily briefing and then we had to wait until others had been driven to the spot and finally they took us to the spot - they do not bother about your time and the customers need.My doughter got the lessons in present, she have lots of experience from trainerkites, snowboarding and windsurfing prior the lessons.👍Positive: friendly at first, the theory made us feel safe initially. Gigi and Andres are knowledged and share this.👎Can be improved:Equipe student with a radio, considering premium price a radio could be expected.Listen to the student/customer.Decreased time on theory and repeating theory and more active learning.Even with many hours theory, selfrescue or kiterules were not covered. When I brought up the our concerns and asked what level is expected after a course we got ”it varies” and I was asked not to be at the beach the final lesson….Have lessons in Salinas. Last hour we requested this and Gigi wrote ”it is not adapted for beginner lessons”…I do think Salinas is much better suited especially in mornings since very few come to Salinas before lunch.Lots of waiting time prior going to the Tubaru beach together. Long walking at the Tubaru beach to the learning area. Very few persons available to help to land kites at the beach for accompying persons. This was a long review, this was our experiance, hopefully this feedback helps improve this kiteschool for the benefit of future students.
